Electro play is a form of BDSM play that involves the use of electricity to stimulate the body. A violet wand converts electricity into a current that is safe to use to stimulate the body. It uses uses high-frequency, low-intensity electrical currents to create a zapping sensation on the surface of the skin.

OK BUT DOES THAT GO INSIDE ME/THEM/HIM/HER?

Much of electroplay is done externally and the skin what is being stimulated. The hollow glass electrodes that we carry to use with the Violet Wand are not safe or designed to be used inside the body. While there are internal toys that conduct current for electro sex play, we don't carry them at Lotus Blooms at this time. 

WHAT DOES ELECTRO PLAY FEEL LIKE? 

Some people describe it as a tingling or prickling sensation, while others describe it as a buzzing or vibrating sensation. Depending on the person this sensation can be painful (which could be positive or negative) or it could feel a bit tickly.

But the sensation created by using a violet wand will vary depending on the intensity and frequency of the electrical charge and the part of the body being stimulated. The more nerve endings a part of the body has, the the more intense the experience often is.  Stimulation on your fingertips, lips, genitals, nipples, soles of feel, and inner thighs are all packed with nerve endings and highly sensitive to stimulation. 

PRO TIPS

• You know how in regular life water conducts electricity really efficiently? Yeah, same with this. If the part of the body you are touching with the wand is wet, the experience will be significantly more intense. Be careful.
• With a violet wand, the stimulation is created in the space between the node and the body. So, hover the electrode over the area you want to stimulate, don't touch the body.
• To Start out, stimulate the parts of the body that are less sensitive and have a lower concentration of nerve endings: lower back, upper arm, calves, front of thighs, and forearms. This will allow you and partners to get used to your body's reaction and gauge your limits before delving deeper into play
• Pair the Violet Wand with the conduction pad for the ultimate sensual electro play experience. Just remember, your body is about 60% water- which, as we discussed, conducts electricity pretty efficiently. (TL;DR: Start low, it's more intense than the glass attachments)
